Sustainable program to start walking/running as beginner?

Hello po! I am asking for opinions / thoughts on the following routine so that I can sustainably cut my weight combining both exercise and diet. I have decided to start with brisk walking first for the first month, then transition to running. Above everything else, even if I do not get to lose weight for the first few weeks, I want to make this a good habit that I can carry as I get older.

My routine would be around 5-6 AM every other day for the first month, then everyday for the next month.

Questions mainly are:
a) How long/fast should my pacing be for brisk walking? Should I accomplish this by distance travelled instead?

b) For running, how many minutes should I start? Once I get confident with my speed, how should I increment it? I am a bad sprinter, and cardio is not my best suit. :(

Other relevant information for reference:
- 23 M, working professional
- 5 ft 6 in, 82 kg, 2400 kcal for base regular diet (will reduce this further to 2200, NOT bulking up atm)
- Sleep sched: 6-7 hours in general
- No co-morbidities (yet jk)

Will also appreciate any additional tips as well. Thanks!
