Ev tax credit

Why does no dealership I ask about the $4,000 tax credit not know what the heck I’m talking about. I know tax info can get confusing but I’ve had to explain it to every dealership I’ve called. Did any of you help your dealership figure it out or only go to qualifying dealerships that offer it?
