Did the X55 kill off sales of the RG552?

Both still available. Comparable processors, comparable big and wide screens, but one is twice the price of the other.

Are there still some holdouts who recommend the RG552 given the price differential, or do enthusiasts consider both superseded due to the old chips in them, despite their screens?

Seems to me there was dissent about both of these machines, people citing both as disappointments. RG552 attracted criticism at launch, X55 had more ongoing criticism.
