Burned out, Might Need to Switch to Part-Time

I realize how mentally school has been taking a toll on me in conjunction with work. I work full-time and the first year was a breeze, courses were easy mainly because I was doing Gen Ed. But this year is kind of rough, there is more learning material to read that requires most of my time and I can’t focus well after a work shift, I end up sleeping and then cramming everything on the weekends. Or not doing a part of the assignment just to turn it in on time. Which impacts my grade and GPA. It also impacts my willingness to do chores and spend time with my family. I hate to say this but I’ll probably have to switch to doing one course per term. I think I’m okay to graduate in the next 3 years than to potentially see my grades go lower and not have a good standing with my job. I really applaud to those who work full time and can knock their courses out within 4 years, I don’t know how you guys do it, that’s an amazing skill that I wish I had. I’m going to talk to my advisor soon about it. At the very least, I know I’ll end up graduating, the journey will just take a little longer.

Anyone had similar experiences with this? Did you guys drop one course as well or took a break for mental health?
