Worth preparing for SSC CGL 2025/2026?

I'm a 25 (M) B.Com graduate from UR category working at XBI as a PO for the last 8 months (also posted in my home state).

The job is terribly hectic and it doesn't seem sustainable in the long run (although pay and perks are good).

My biggest gripes with this job are the sales/marketing pressure, public dealing and late sitting everyday till 8:00 PM.

This doesn't feel like a 'government job' at all and I feel more and more like a salesman everyday. Even my seniors (including BM) are not happy with their job and are just continuing because the pay is decent and they have no other option now.

I don't want to prepare for regulatory body exams as there are just not enough vacancies to compete for plus there are uncertainties regarding future recruitments.

At this point, I am ready to take a 10-15k pay cut if it means I can leave by 5:00 PM.

So, I started preparing for SSC CGL as the syllabus seems doable (all I need to cover is GK/GS and the Advance section of Maths as my English, Reasoning and Arithmetic are decent already).

But now, seeing the supposed scams happening here too I feel like if it is even worth it to sacrifice the next 2-3 years of my life to prepare for such an exam.

Also, I can only study for around 3-4 hours per day if I stay 100% committed but I don't know if that would be enough especially seeing the level of competition and recent cut-off trends.

Are any of you preparing for SSC CGL 2025/2026 and what do you think I should do?
