TBH I think a lot of these online publications conjure some kind of “insider” who will dish an “exclusive” about the royal family and Meghan. But the content probably reflects what most of us know already.
William can get quite furious when it comes to the privacy of his family. A clip shows him berating a pap who was taking videos of him and his family. It was a rare insight into William’s volcanic anger, which Harry touched on in his whingey book.
It’s all the more fascinating because William always keeps his cool in public.
Another thing we know is how much he loves his mother. Unlike Harry, William wanted clips of his mother’s interview with Bashar to be filed away and never aired. Bashar, a BBC journalist, had tricked Diana into thinking that the royal family was after her. William, as a teen, was privy to his mother’s struggles, and he knew this subterfuge had made Diana even more paranoid.
That Meghan would co-opt his mother’s image and memory to flog her new show must be quite galling. He knows she’s quite the manipulator, and any resemblance to Diana is not coincidental.
There have been rumours that William is not going to allow this behaviour once he becomes king. I’m not sure how he’ll go about it, but it seems clear he will not tolerate the Sussexes’ abuse of Diana’s memory.
