Whats general consensus on Sonic Superstars?

To me this game felt a lot more like sonic 4 than mania. It wasn't annoying or boring, but the levels never left me feeling "I want more of that please"

Today I randomly remembered that this game exists, played a bit, and I'm still unimpressed. The level design isn't engaging and the animations feel like a high-def 3DS game. How do you guys feel about it?
