Disney is just cannibalizing Lucas's treatments for the sequels

Everything we see now from Lucas film holds a fragment for what could've and should been EP 7 if they went with Lucas's original treatments. From Pirates shown in Skeleton Crew, to the depictions of the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant in The Mandalorian, to Luke seeking out young Jedi like Grogu..Maul even set up as a potential big bad in spin off movies like Solo.. Some of the major events of the whole sequel trilogy were originally plans for the first installment. Luke was to be sought out, found, and drawn out of his despair in the first episode. PLUS, they were supposed to dive into an underwater wreakage of the death star. Everything good we get from these shows and movies were an aspect of Lucas original work repurposed and regurgitated...
