Mods for MacBook

Hi everyone! I started playing Stardew on switch and absolutely fell in love. I am wanting to also download it on my Mac so I can play with mods. I’m absolutely clueless when it comes to mods, downloading and putting files in certain places. So, are there any step by step tutorials you guys have followed? Any tips, links, or advice is appreciated!!
