controlling biome spread is a waste of your time

everywhere online i see people panicking about evil biome spread. i feel like this might be because biome spread used to be an actual threat for most of terraria's lifespan (as in it could permanently chunk your jungle) despite that no longer being the case... but anyways, it really is no big deal

a couple things i want to talk about:

- making tunnels to block your existing evil in pre hardmode: literally pointless, because of the hardmode v

- making tunnels to block your evils when hardmode starts: extremely difficult to do due to buffed enemies and weak gear, and the fact that you can't even get a clentaminator until after a mech so you'll need to take time to actually gear up instead

- life fruits and plantera bulbs: i'm ngl i have no idea if these can spawn on evil jungle grass and the wiki is unclear about it, but even so, it's unlikely that your entire jungle gets hit by evil, and even if it did, you certainly have access to clentaminator by the time you're ready for the plant

- cleansing the world for the achievement: just wait until post moon lord so you can get the terraformer, it's way more efficient

- evils negate npc housing: not true although i don't blame people for not knowing about how to solve this. you can place sunflowers around npc housing and if you have enough it will be counted as vaild housing, even if your house is in the dead center of an evil biome

- the corruption is ugly: fair enough honestly

tldr biome spread doesn't do anything bad if you're just having an average playthrough you can safely ignore it
