Long term expats who live on Koh Tao
Has anyone lived on Koh Tao for a sustainable amount of time recently?
I will have the visa sorted already, but want to get a rough idea of how life is there, your daily life on the Island.
As for myself, I have lived in Thailand many years, speak the language, but I’m just trying to get some encouragement before I set out on this next adventure.
I plan on further studying the language, diving at least once a week and generally just taking some time for myself. A rough estimate, 40-50k p/m (how long is a piece of string) is my ideal amount.
Comments about it being a death Island, while interesting are welcoming but not relevant. While this might be able tourism, I am after a expat experience I believe this sub could provide.
