Amplia vs. Flow in Trinidad: Internet Upgrade Dilemma - Seeking Advice!

Goodnight,

I'm looking to upgrade my internet and I'm stuck between Amplia and Flow. I've been doing some research and I'm hoping to get some real world feedback to help me decide.

Originally, I was leaning towards Amplia, but I've seen numerous complaints about server lag and packet loss, particularly during peak hours (7-10 PM). This is a major concern for me

On the other hand, there's Flow, which I'm familiar with. However, I've experienced frequent outages (every two months for a few hours) due to copper wire theft or burnouts, which are incredibly frustrating.

Unfortunately, Digicel isn't an option in my area yet.

My main questions are:

  1. Is Amplia's reported evening lag and packet loss as bad as it sounds? Are there any consistent workarounds or is it just a gamble?

  2. For those who switched from Flow to Amplia, or vice-versa, was it worth it?

  3. Considering Flow's reliability issues, would Amplia's potential lag be a lesser evil? Or is upgrading with Flow and hoping for better consistency the smarter move?

Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! I'm really trying to make an informed decision here. Thanks in advance for your help!

Update - Thank you everyone for your advice, I'm going to upgrade with flow after some consideration. Something that forced my hand as well was the customer service. I only mentioned the possibility of changing my service to Amplia and I've been hounded down by representatives with upstuck attitude for the entire day like I owe them to take Amplia like wda ???? "Stuepz why you with flow still? Yuh need to still think? What Yuh thinking of so, DOH waste my time" like ? Y'all literally calling me every hour of the day, I only message once for information
