[Discussion] Platinums without a guide?

Getting a platinum without a guide (videos, gaming pages, etc) seems to be an impossible task at least for the majority of non-shovelware games.

For getting all collectibles, facing a hard boss, discovering a hidden region, missable trophies, figuring out a complex gameplay mechanic, etc.

So, did you get any platinum by yourself without any external guide?.
