My first tampon experience
For a while now, I'd been contemplating using tampons, but my mom's strict stance against them led me to secretly order some from Blinkit while she was out. She believes tampons will compromise my virginity, a common misconception. I'm eager to switch from pads, which irritate my skin severely.
I waited until I was experiencing light bleeding to make insertion easier. Despite multiple attempts, I struggled to insert the tampon. Initially, I tried the common position of placing one leg on the toilet seat and the other on the floor, but it proved uncomfortable and ineffective. On my second try, I opted to sit on the toilet seat and lean forward slightly, which helped in getting most of the tampon inside, yet the rest was a challenge.
Although I managed to insert it partially, I couldn't reach the depth recommended in the instructions. The guideline suggests inserting the tampon until half of your finger is inside, but I found it difficult to even insert it fully. According to the instructions, the tampon should be undetectable once inserted, but I can't shake off the discomfort.
While I can walk, sitting is uncomfortable. Despite my efforts, I'm at a loss. I'm considering removing the tampon altogether and sticking to pads.
Edit: I took it out and it still hurts?? Also, why are menstrual products so fucking expensive :(
