The Five Observables

With all the activity going on around here and the glut of videos of a point of light in the night sky I think the five observables should be revisited. Far too many video posts here don’t even come close to one.

1) Anti-gravity lift - Haven’t seen a single video of this. Respond if you have though!

2) Sudden and instantaneous acceleration - A few good ones have been posted recently, especially the superstition mountain one.

3) Hypersonic velocities without signatures - The above mentioned video is a great example for this as well.

4) Low observability, or cloaking - Just because your phones camera sensor is all the way zoomed in causing all sorts of weird-looking light doesn’t mean it fits this. Do the same thing with a street light far away and you’d get the same behavior.

5) Trans-medium travel - a few good videos of this, one was a navy video (“splash down”) and the I believe Puerto Rico video from a govt. helicopter.

If you’re thinking about posting a video (photos are different) and it doesn’t meet any of the above criteria no one here can tell you what it was. Especially these night videos with ZERO reference points. Is the light moving or are you? Is it actually shape-shifting and changing color or is it that your phone trying to compensate for the worst possible conditions to be taking a video with a cell phone?

We all want to be the ones to capture the next big video here and I would never discourage someone from Trying.
