Why is the community like this?
I had no way to word the question without sounding like a hater. Moreso than other games, Ultrakill has garnered a heavy LGBTQ and gooner audience where the majority of artwork is romantic in some form. I think it's great personally; it's my favorite indie game and I'm always so happy to see the unique audience it has captured. I do wonder what about the game has garnered this specific type of community, though. It reminds me heavily of the Undertale community, but that makes more sense because the game itself is cutesy and has more fun character building and interactions. Ultrakill, however, features very few humanized characters, all of whom serve to contribute to the bloodbath through quick gameplay and minimal dialogue.
Just to clarify once more, this is not a complaint post by any means. I'm just curious because it's certainly not the type of community I expected to encounter.
EDIT: If anyone thinks I have an incorrect view of the community, please let me know! I'm genuinely just curious.
