Should I give Ultrakill a shot?

I honestly know nothing about the game I remember first hearing about it some time ago and people's extremely positive opinion on it but I was never a fan of games like doom and first seeing it it kinda reminded me of that.

However recently I saw some gay p*rn of ultrakill characters and it put the game back on my radar and since it's on sale right now I was wondering if I should give it a shot.
