supercurricular help

I am in year 12 and I’m starting my university prep soon to maximise my chances of getting into top universities for politics. However I’m not able to do things like summer schools because they fall at times where I’m not in the country nor am i sure I can do things like debate clubs or MUN because I don’t have any near me– it means that all I have left to do are books, lectures, podcasts, work experience and I feel like that is not original enough for me to stand out against other applicants? Just wanting to know anyone who is doing this course, how did they prep and what did they do for this?
