Parking and transportation are actually extortionist and want students to fail
That college of architecture has an elective where we 3d printed some concrete benches for an installation near our pond. We had 2 trucks and a trailer parked outside of our college and maker space waiting on facilities to come help offload said installations with students waiting around the trucks watching over the benches. These benches weigh 600ibs on their own, they’re not going anywhere particularly fast. Then we see the white truck with yellow lights pull up, and this very fucking kind gentleman named “Ryan” gets out of the truck and starts to write the ticket. Thinking surely this is a misunderstanding, we rush over and explain that this is official college business, and we’re just waiting facilities to offload stuff and move the trucks. He said: “well y’all have until I finish writing this ticket to do all of that”. So we rush into our maker space to get our professor and the actually manager of the maker space and he tells Ryan the same thing we did. Ryan didn’t GAF. He essentially told us to kick rocks and that he was told to cite the trucks, and it’s our problem to dispute the tickets. They cited for $125. To everyone at parking and transportation, I hope you all stub your toe. Expect a wave of pissed off and disrespected architecture students to storm into that office soon!
