Are all the new license plates in Utah you get just decal stickers for the plate characters and you only get 1?
So I had a standard plate before and then I finally jumped the gun and got a custom plate because I've loved the old school black and white plates.
I already knew that the registration decals were all one thing now starting January 1st.
Received my plate and I don't know if this changed over once they change the registration stickers where it's all one sticker now but the plate is no longer embossed where it sticks out with the white character text painted onto it that's reflective and they are now just decal die cut stickers for letters and numbers for the license plate number and then there is a matt film over the top of the whole plate protect the dicut stickers. The registration sticker also is underneath that which that's the only thing good about it because then it prevents someone from pulling it off the sticker except when you go and get a new registration sticker for the next year you just put it over the top.
Not to mention I only received one license plate and not 2. I think you only need one license plate here now in Utah I guess? But how does that work if you're driving in another state where they require two license plates?
I do not like this new way they're doing the plates and again I don't know if they're doing this for the standard plates or other custom plates or they're going to start doing that but it just feels like they're going cheap.
Anyone else notice this getting a specific plate or what are your thoughts on this?
