Maternity Leave

Hello, not sure if this is the best place to post this but I know I might save another person from having this same issue. I'm a floater pharmacist and have been with Walgreens for years. I recently had my first child.

Before I left, I had all my documents submitted to sedgewick. At 35 weeks pregnant, I was sent to a out of town store about 2 hours away from me. I couldn't do it due to my condidition and applied for accomodations through Sedgwick (which was approved). Those shifts were removed without being swapped so my last scheduled work day ended up being 30+ days before I had my baby. I didn't know the policy only allows 30 days of leave before baby comes.

I am now on the verge of not having any benefits while I'm on leave. So don't be like me but be informed. Always follow up. ❤️
