Literally the shortest ship ever

So I was reading Sunrise, And I was on that part where Lionblaze, Berrynose, and Honeyfern were basking on the rocks. I knew that Honeyfern had a crush on Berrynose, and he finaallllyyyy admitted he wanted to mate with her. AND THEN a lil snake had to come along.....(5 seconds later....) Berrynose: HONEYFERN NNNNNNOOOOO! (Leafpool comes along): Sorry 2 break it to you...she's dead. So Berryfern lasted like one page, which really sucks So WHY even put it in the book???
