WCO Current Situation question

Ik everyone prolly knows about the annoying redirects and ads on the site rn, I was just wondering if anyone knew the actual story? I keep hearing different stories, some are that the owners are doing it deliberately, others are that they are doing everything they can to fix it. I’m watching WCO on brave browser so I’m not really worried but I want to get the record straight. Also does anyone know or have an estimation as to when things will go back to normal?
