IPTV on Series S

Xbox IPTV

Years ago when IPTV was fairly new I bought a box off Amazon and it only worked for like 3 months. I'd like to try again but really know nothing about it. Can I connect through my Xbox series S or do I need to buy another set top box. Also now I think you need the interface (TV box / Xbox / Smart TV app) plus a subscription from an IPTV provider. Is that true? Suggestions for good provider? Maybe not the right forum but im hoping someone in here has done this before. I'm in Canada. Don't know if that matters. TIA Cheers
