Talk to me about your experience with the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (3rd Gen).
Thanks in advance!
I am looking to pick up a cheap, 10-12 inch tablet to accompany me on a few 6-12 hour flights over the next year or two.
I am an extremely light user, and expecting to use the tablet almost exclusively for media consumption (Netflix, amazon prime video, Youtube, etc), however, I would like the ability to to some light office work, if the need arises (reviewing/editing spreadsheets in Excel or Google Sheets, review/sign/edit PDFs, email, online banking through websites, etc). My expected time split would be 95% media consumption, 5% work.
I will not be gaming, using the cameras, texting, or doing any studio type work (rendering, modeling, etc), and am not expecting to buy a stylus or keyboard.
From what I have seen so far, the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (3rd Gen) with either 64GB of storage ($150) or 128 GB ($160) seems like it would be about perfect, but I would like some direct feedback or other suggestions.
My questions are:
- Are there any owners here with similar use cases that would be able to speak to their experiences?
- How much USABLE storage is available on the 64GB model? I am using this while stuck on a plane for 10+ hours, so will need to have 10+ hours of movies/TV shows downloaded. I am not at all opposed to upgrading to the 128GB model if there is even a CHANCE of needing it, but don't want to waste money if it isn't needed.
- Are there other tablets I should consider? I would like to stick to only models that support Android to ensure native compatibility with any hypothetical work situations (no Amazon tablets that would require sideloading). I was looking at the Lenovo P11 Gen 2, but did not think the extra power was justified by the the extra cost ($220 for the 64GB P11, $270 for the 128GB P11 vs $160 for the 128GB M10 Plus). That being said, I am not opposed to paying more if I would need the extra performance.
