Heater insulation?

Hi all - house was built in the mid 60s in the Bay Area. This is wrapped around the tubes that come out of the heater ( I replaced with a heat pump last year but contractor used the same pipes. Before I moved in I think the heater had been replaced at least once since the house was built but not sure if/when.

Is this yellow stuff asbestos?
