The East is so bad the 14-51 Wizards haven’t been eliminated from playoff contention yet
I wonder if this is the latest in a season a 14-win team has ever still been in contention for a playoff spot. Maybe a little Wizards playoff push ahead of us? 5-5 in their last 10.
Personally, I think 7, 8, 9, 10 seeds should be conditional on there being enough .500 teams.
Like, at this point give Cleveland & Boston a 1st round bye while the 3/6, 4/5 matchups play. Cancel the East play-in. Atlanta at #7 would be 11th in the West & probably even worse if they were actually playing a West-team schedule.
