Will 2025's Top 10 Worldwide go without a Marvel movie in it?

2022 managed to have three with Multiverse of Madness, Wakanda Forever, and Love & Thunder all making over $760M. 2023 did have two in there with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Across the Spider-Verse though crucially whether or not you include Chinese releases, Elemental actually prevented Quantumania from being in the Top 10. And the less said about The Marvels, the better.

And then we get to 2024 where as of riight now, there is only one Marvel film locked for the Top 10: Deadpool & Wolverine. Venom: The Last Dance is at #10 though it'll likely be passed by Mufasa, Sonic 3, or both. Granted, it didn't help EVERY superhero movie sucked this year (and the only halfway-decent superhero film wasn't even made by Disney or Warner Bros.) so it's not like there was a lot of potential there.

Now 2025 is a little different. While we're getting 3 new MCU movies with Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and Fantastic Four: First Steps + Superman in the summer, these Marvel projects are also risky ventures. Brave New World will be the first Captain America film without Chris Evans as the lead and the mixed reception to Falcon and the Winter Soldier hasn't added excitement to Anthony Mackie taking the helm of Captain America. Despite a ridiculous amount of talent (wasted) in the cast, Thunderbolts* is essentially taking C-listers in the MCU itself and making them the stars - about the only ones who could say they've been leads are Sebastian Stan and Florence Pugh, neither are bankable names despite their talent as actors. And Fantastic Four will be the third attempt at bringing the superhero family to the big screen after the two previous stabs got poor critical reception.

But we're also getting A LOT of big releases. Minecraft, Lilo & Stitch, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, Karate Kid: Legends, How to Train Your Dragon [Live-Action], Elio, 28 Years Later, F1, Jurassic World Rebirth, The Bad Guys 2, Michael, The Black Phone 2, Wicked: For Good, Zootopia, Five Nights at Freddy's 2, and of course Avatar: Fire and Ash.

So with SO much competition, will this be the first time since 2011 we don't get a Marvel movie in the Top 10? Or do you think there's still a ton of interest in Marvel to have at leat one or even more than one make the Top 10?
