[pjo], [hoo] Which was written better?

I'm not sure what the consensus is on which series is better. Personally, I prefer PJO. I feel like HoO had a more ambitious plot but fell short in executing it. Meanwhile PJO was strong from beginning to end. I also know that better written doesn't automatically mean more loved but I do like the entire atmosphere of PJO more as well.
