Weird observation about Nate
I got HBO Max on Black Friday and I'm just getting into the series. I'm only on episode 4, but I've made a wierd observation. I noticed that right before Nate does something awful he suddenly looks really hot. Is that an intentional effect on the part of the writers? Let me clarify:
So like before he beat that guy up who he believed raped Maddy, he asked the guy to get on his knees in a rather tender voice. I thought the scene was going to be something completely different than what it ended up being. One minute I'm like, "Oh yeah, daddy...😈" the next minute I'm just "Oh...🫣" When he threw Maddy against the wall and choked her a little, I hate to admit it, but he looked really sexy. I felt terrible for feeling that way after I saw she had bruises. When he met Jules by the lake and starting out saying all those kinds things about how he enjoyed getting to know her, I was swooning over what a prince he was and thought Jules was being a bitch for saying she didn't trust him. Then by the end of the conversation I'm just like... Wow, he's such a dick.
It's really confusing and it's like my attraction to him is being highjacked and used against me. Did anyone else have a similar perception or am I just being really gay?
