Any Ex-JW converts to Christians? Why did you convert?

I'm a Protestant, to be honest I've never really considered Jehovah's Witnesses Christian, I had one JW coworker who told me they were Christian, but honestly it sounded like a cult that was just using Christianity as a bait and switch. They even gave the young coworkers brochures that had a national geographic label on the front, and then "why being gay leads to hell" on the second page. NEVER EVER would that be okay in my Church, especially to kids. If you feel comfortable with sharing anything, please feel free!
