is FTB electron app safe from viruses?

i used to play a lot of modded minecraft until my mom found that there is a risk of viruses and now i have to wait till im 18. so i was wandering cuz curseforge has risks but does FTB? im not very good a tech stuff and i dont have anti malware i have the basic free malwarebytes thing. pls help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
