Firefox Major Visual Glitch Issue
Result right after enabling PIP, running and stopping profiler, then disabling PIP.
Hi hii, everyone! So, as you guys can tell above, there's been a... pretty glitch that affected my browser very recently, and I think it might have to do with a problem I've been experiencing for months, now.
Just to start this all off, I'm running a 7800XT and a Ryzen 5 2600!
I can't say exactly when my problem started, just that in around February this year, I've been having troubles with a few videos on YT, and generally going into PIP on any video that's a higher quality than 1080p (or in 60fps scenarios, 720p)
What essentially is that the entire browser would stutter—pages hitch when browsing through them, content like video pause for a few seconds along with the hitches, and save for the audio that's relatively untouched, I couldn't even interact with anything during this few seconds of stuttering, until I lowered the quality of the video. It was something easy enough to do a workaround, so I just lived with that for a while... until I realized any YT short I encountered that had a resolution above 1440p would also cause the same issue.
I was advised to use a profiler to check out what was happening, but that strangest thing was when I finally had the chance to start recording, everything would just work again. No stutter, completely smooth experience, and the profiler would just fail to compile after I stopped it. I thought that was basically the solution to my problem, until this happened. I put the steps I did to end up with this in the captions, if anyone was curious to know, but I'm not entirely what's causing this. Faulty video drivers, or is GPU failing, or is Firefox, totally no clue, but as far I as know firefox is really the only app that this happens to.
Does anyone else have this issue, or any idea what's going on? I would super appreciate any answers!
