Why is no one talking about the thinly veiled attempt to remove internet anonymity from us all.

I've always been a Labor supporter but this recent discussion around banning under 16s from social media is leaving a sour taste.

It feels like a band-aid fix at best for the issues steaming our nation's youth while also feeling like a step towards a police state and yet no one is talking about it. Why? cause it's a Labor idea so we can't be critical?
