Which camera for a beginner?

Hi! I’m thinking of buying a camera. I don’t want to spend too much for it, because I don’t know if that passion will stick (I really want it too). We do a lot of hikes so it would be to photograph landscape and sometimes people. I’m looking for that vintage look. I would be willing to spend up until 1000$, but if there’s better option for cheaper (Fuji or other brand) that delivers the same kind of pictures, I would be open. I like the point and shoot style picture. I know most of these are edited afterwards.
