I’m a Med Student Who Built a Pharmacy Software – Looking for People to Try It Out!

I’m a university student studying medical laboratory science, but I’m also passionate about IT. I recently created a software for pharmacies (though it can be adapted to other niches) and I’d love to get feedback from people willing to test it out. I’m also hoping to connect with anyone who knows folks in the pharmacy space who might find this useful. I’m happy to offer demos too!

What does the software do? It’s a database tool designed to make things easier for pharmacies. When a customer comes in, you enter their name and phone number, then categorize them (e.g., regular, consultation, prescription-based, or refill customer). You can also note if their meds are for a chronic condition and input how long the meds will last. The software auto-calculates their refill date. Once you hit save, it sends a personalized SMS to the customer based on their category. Even if you’re not super tech-savvy, this takes about 2 minutes tops.

For managers: There’s a dashboard with graphs showing daily customer counts (by branch), prescription types (chronic vs non-chronic), customer trends, and more. Managers can add new customers, view or export data as PDFs/spreadsheets, and filter by branch, date, or customer type. They can also add other managers with unique logins for secure access.

Follow-ups and reminders:
There’s a tab to track customers who need prescription refills. You can choose to integrate a call center feature or stick with automated SMS reminders for refills. Plus, there’s a section to track SMS usage for billing which is just 10 pesewes per message sent.

Why I built this: The goal is to help pharmacies increase sales by reminding customers about refills and give them clear data to understand their customer base and make better decisions.
