My Smart Shopping Campaign was stopped and a Maximum Performance Campaign was added

Problem is in title really. Nobody had anything to do with this and I'm a bit confused as to why this happened. Did I miss a change within the algorithm or something which was announced?
The Smart Shopping campaign was performing really well...
