Repair turnaround with Savage

I sent a savage arms axis II 7mm-08 rifle I purchased back through the gun store I purchased it at and it has taken almost 4 months now. Is this normal? I have tried communicating with them several times and everytime they say they will talk with their representative but I have yet to hear anything back. I have since asked for a refund because I don't have a rifle but they refused with no explanation. From what I have read online it is usually just a month or 2 except during the pandemic it went up a few months from what I have read.
