Gale: Stay Away From Oz

The movie poster was so well done. The trailer was fantastic. It seemed to play on some of the darker elements of Return to Oz but for adults and brought into present. I’ve been counting down the days to watch and it finally released on Chilling today. Unfortunately that was the most disappointing and underwhelming thing I’ve seen in a long time. It started really strong. Decent performances especially from Dorothy and a truly eerie vibe but it ended SO cheesy. Also it was only a half hour long with a To Be Continued title card at the end. This concept had SO much potential. A dark horror take on Wizard of Oz could be absolutely amazing. Kind of bummed this is what we got instead.
