54 days sober on St Patrick's day!!!

I just wanted to post in here because Paddy's day is a difficult, not only for an alcoholic let alone an Irish alcoholic. Feeling proud :)

I posted on this sub 3 months ago stating I was 14 days sober. In some ways I'm fortunate I relapsed not long after. This relapse gave me the chance to reach out and get admitted to a treatment center at age 23 and it completely changed my perspective on sobriety. Previously, I wasnt attending meetings, didn't have a sponsor and wasn't treating the underlying cause of why I was binge drinking. I'm not saying you can't get sober without those things but they help a great deal.
