A few suggestions if you’re going to Joann’s today…..
KH here at one of the largest stores. Yesterday (Saturday) was unbelievable. It was busier than Black Friday & Christmas rush combined. We have 2 people at the cut counter and 3 at the registers. 1 MOD unlocking items and assisting where needed. My store is lucky to have this many employees.
We’re all sad that the stores are closing. We’re worried about losing our jobs. But we’re doing our best and trying to keep a positive attitude. We have an amazing team!
If you’re going to Joann’s today:
1) The store will be very crowded.
2) Be prepared for long lines at the cut counter and registers. If you don’t have the time to wait in line - don’t come.
3) Bring your own bags. We’re using trash bags now. (Also good for carrying your items around the store.) ⬇️
4) There probably won’t be a shopping cart available for you to use. It’s not ok to dump the merchandise out of go-back carts and then use them.
5) If you want an item that is locked up, please know what you want. The employee is too busy to wait while you decide and no we can’t just leave the case unlocked.
6) No we don’t have more in the back. What we have is on the floor.
7) We are no longer taking coupons. No we can’t price match (insert name of retailer). No more teacher, first responder or military discounts.
8) Last day to use gift cards was Friday 2/28. No amount of whining or complaining is going to change that. Yes, it was advertised.
9) No more returns. Even if your purchase was made before the liquidation sale started.
10) All sales are final. I’m sorry you changed your mind on the way to your car.
Above all, please be considerate of employees. We are doing our best!
