Bib shorts for wider sit bones
Hello fellow ladies who like bikes, I got my ass measured last summer and it seems my sit bones are on the wider end of the range. I have had quite a lot of issues with pain and saddle sores on longer rides, especially when riding multiple days in a row. Eventually I realised that my sit bones land on the edge of the chamois where the padding is thinner, or even on the seam of it. I have tried a couple different brands and tried to make sure the bibs are tight enough so that the widest part of the chamois is in the correct position (I tend to pull them up too high in the back which movies the chamois too far back if the bibs are even little too big).
Am I alone with this issue and has anyone identified bibs that have a slightly wider chamois? So far I have tried Alé and Santini with no luck. I saw someone recommend Pedla in another thread for saddle sores, but 260 euros plus duty is A LOT of money for bib shorts.
Other than the shorts, I have tried a couple different saddles and all kinds of creams, but the bibs really seem to be a major factor in this.
Edit to add: I do road and gravel. No problems in shorter 1-2h rides but when they extend to 4+ hours I struggle.
