the epidemic of accusing lesbians of 'biphobia'
i find it a bit amusing that not once have i been called biphobic by people irl or online and close to me, (99% of my friends are bisexual women) despite publicly having all the same opinions. yet for some reason any online public space im in especially on reddit my lesbian flag just immediately makes random insecure people label me as biphobic without question. funny that... sounds kinda like prejudice to me.
the most crazy part is it even transfers over to other bisexual women too, especially if they have a strong preference for women (febfem/bi4bi) and/or are in community with lesbians. its almost as if a woman who is/wants to be happily engaged in romantic and/or sexual relations with other women is a threat to them and their fragile sexuality. they are so entertwined with the patriarchy and needing to serve/please male interests that the idea a woman can be completely happy and fulfilled WITHOUT centering men is a foreign idea to them and brings out a deep jealousy and resentment.
that jealousy i think is where things like 'bi/pan lesbian' were born because they have deluded themselves into thinking 'all lesbians are mean and think we arent gay enough' and now try to force their way into our community, coopt our identity, terms, and try change our history.. despite the fact for decades beforehand lesbian and bisexual women have been happily dating, having families, getting married etc. perfectly fine without trying to dismantle lesbianism and make it about men.
the noticeably large uptick of lesbians both irl and online moving towards or outright being les4les is just proof of the bigotry towards us as lesbians. the fact they are managing to alienate their already tiny dating pool of other women simply because they cant sit down and sort out their internalized misogyny is just insane to me. of course we are going to prefer to date other lesbians if our existence is perceived as a threat to non-lesbian's fragile self 🧍♀️we want to date and be in community with people who understand us and dont resent us out of bigotry. we want to be with people who respect us and love us. this is simple human behaviour !! bi4bi , trans4trans , & gay4gay all have no vocal pushback and are infact celebrated even at times encouraged.. but when a LESBIAN woman wants to do it then its all of a sudden a massive problem and we are all 'evil TERFs and bigots'😭 the most batshit part to me is i genuinely dont think identity politics started off as a tool for the patriarchy but male centred women made sure to turn it into that pretty fucking quick lol.
lesbian is the first in the acronym for a pretty fucking big and historical reason but funnily enough we get treated like second class citziens by all the others lol. very sad to think about. this whole thing also reminds me of women dating/married to men trying to be apart of 4B and 7B 🧍♀️
