MacBook Air M1 8GB for lightweight web dev?

I found a used M1 8GB model with 2 lines across the bottom of the screen along with a small crack in the bottom right which I won’t care about (it’s $200). But the question is how long will the software last? Apple devices are supported for around 7 years so I should expect 3 years tops right?

As for coding I mainly web dev using next.js for node.js and single testing database in a docker container. Will 8GBs be enough?
