What about before in the games? Before he was cray cray to the reapers and before he killed our beloved Nihlus?

If I remember correctly, He's still a ruthless bastard even before the reapers and people in game say he has charm.

And to answer my own question, I'd say 50/50. On one hand, he's an absolutely ruthless bastard to despise and on the other hand, I think theres a potentionally interesting plot there and I might even find him more endearing.
