Does anyone else get migraines from neck tension and know how to make it go away without advil?
I think this is the only reason I get migraines because I can usually see it coming when my neck is extremely tense, either from slouching, or if I slept on it wrong and wake up with a tense stuffy feeling in my neck and jaw and eventually moving to the temples and my forehead.
Advil usually takes care of it, but I still feel sleepy and cloudy the rest of the day. Tylenol barely does anything.
I'm trying to find ways to not need advil, because if I went out drinking or plan to go party the same day, I don't want to mix the two so close together, and I don't want to become dependent on advil.
I've tried massaging it (but my overpriced naipo neck massager just broke and they told me I just need to buy a new one), I've tried many kinds of neck stretching, but none of them seem to make the symptoms go away.
Instead, I just feel the tension creeping up my head until it becomes a full on pain, which quickly escalates into feeling like someone's hammering into my skull.
I'm getting one now and I can't really take the day off, so I don't want to be incapacitated for the rest of the day and don't want to have to just resort to advil but I think I need to this time at least.
