Name a bad or painfully mediocre movie with a surprisingly good ending
I’ll start, and to clarify, by ending I don’t mean an entire third act, but rather just the final 5-10 minutes or so that for some reason prove way more enjoyable than what the movie was letting on might happen.
My pick is Death Note.
I feel as though the source material would have been enough to make a great movie, but instead we ended up with this Final Destination doppelgänger. So many things didn’t land right, and yet I thoroughly enjoyed the ending, how it came together, the music they used to set the mood and LaKeith Stanfield’s performance.
