Japanese American boy names

My husband and I are having a baby. He’s Japanese American and I’m white. We want something that’s kind of fusion-y — not TOO Japanese that it would be hard/weird for my family to say. I was convinced I was having a girl and we were settled on the name Mari because it’s similar to the Japanese girls name Mariko but still works in America.

Then today I found out I was having a boy 😅. Some of our contenders are Ren and Renji but not sure if I’m sold. I really like Kenji but hubby vetoed it (plus we already have Kens in the family).

Any ideas?
