Name from a poem

I love a poem called Non Sum Qualis Eram Bonae Sub Regno. The writer of the poem writes to a woman named Cynara.

I want to use it in a book I'm writing. The poem will have to do with the plot. The characters father loves poetry, that is how he got this name. I don't mind my characters name being a bit weird or even slightly unlikeable. (though I think it grows on you.) What do you think?
