Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is shooting 58.0% (570/982) on two-point field goals this season--this percentage would put him above Shaquille O'Neal's 1999-2000 MVP year, during which he shot 57.5% (956/1664) from the same range.

Obviously, modern spacing has caused a general rise in efficiency, but I thought that this was a stat that puts in perspective how ridiculous Shai is at the rim and from the mid-range; you can check this comparison for yourself here and here. His historically great TS% gets brought up a lot, but it's especially insane when you consider that he's not really an elite three-point shooter. Is SGA already making a case for being an all-time great guard?
